Ecodetection
Our eco-detection dogs are capable of finding individuals of flora or fauna, alive or dead, parts of them, hair, feces, etc. They can help in bioconservation programs , early detection of invasive species , or preventively to stop future pests.
The working pairs focused on echodetection are made up of a qualified canine guide and a working dog specialized in the detection and location of one or more odorous substances of biological origin. Once these substances have been located, a wide variety of genetic, physiological and pathological indicators of the environmental flora and fauna can be extracted.
These indicators provide valuable information on the abundance of species, their geographic distribution, resource use, health and pathology, all in relation to the environmental pressure to which the different species are subjected.
The extraordinary olfactory capacity of dogs, together with adequate training of their skills, allows us to gather more and better field data quickly, accurately and economically. Our dogs can:
- Detect plants, animals and feces.
-Find targets up to 40 times faster than other methods.
- Provide results on site with almost perfect accuracy.
Bed Bug Detection
We have teams that are trained and have a lot of experience in detecting bedbugs, whether it is to carry out searches in hotels, apartments, flats or any other type of accommodation. These tasks can be carried out both to detect the presence of these parasites, or as a preventive measure to avoid future infections and pests.
Field studies and collection of data and samples
Dogs are able to locate samples of different species simultaneously in closed spaces, large open areas and rugged terrain sometimes inaccessible to humans, being more effective compared to traditional search methods.
No other method can collect such a large amount of reliable information in such a short space of time, making this approach incredibly valuable for planning environmental control and conservation. Our team is rigorous, disciplined and approachable.
Please feel free to contact us for more information or to arrange an interview.
Creation of new ecodetector binomials
Although the use of this detection method for conservation is not widespread in our country, in other countries it is a basic tool in wildlife management and control functions, as well as in areas related to public health.
In the above services, our dogs trained for specific smells together with their handlers form the working team, but we can also form new work teams for future projects.
